Old Testament Manual (£14.50)

The Old Testament Manual begins with the Bible's account of Creation and then follows the lives of many fascinating characters such as Noah, Joseph, Moses, David, Solomon and Daniel. Moral issues are addressed from a Christian standpoint. The manual also shows how the Old Testament predicts the arrival of Jesus Christ.

New Testament Manual (£12.50)

This manual begins with the Bible's account of the birth of Christ and covers his life; including miracles, parables and teaching, followed by Jesus' death and resurrection. The manual also includes interesting stories on the early church and the Apostle Paul.

Each of the lessons in the manuals have:

• A Lesson Outline with a list of relevant passages from the Bible, Themes, Aims, Resources List and suggested Other Ideas and Activities
• Teacher's Notes which give the teacher a Summary of the story's main points, an introduction or Point of Contact, an outline of the story and events, an Illustration to help highlight the main point, and a Things to Learn statement which states what the children should learn from the story
• Suggested Discussion Questions which the teacher might like to use for review, in informal discussion as the children are at work, or with the whole class
• An Optional Children's Story Sheet. This can be used so that the children read the basic story, rather than having the teacher tell the story to them
• A Puzzle Page which can be used to highlight and consolidate the main points in the story
• An Activity Sheet and sometimes a Picture which can be used as an extra resource or to highlight a main part of the story. Please note that generally every Activity Sheet needs scissors, glue (or stapler) and coloured pencils. Sometimes it is necessary to photocopy an Activity Sheet in two (contrasting) colours
