William Taylor (1829-1895), originally from Scotland, was pastor of Broadway Tabernacle, New York for twenty years. This work on the life of David, began as a series of evening messages delivered to his congregation.
The gentle but compelling style adopted by the author, takes each event in David`s life, together with the psalms, and makes applications helpful to all Christians.
Delightful to read devotionally, but will also furnish the preacher with much help in sermon preparation. Taylor makes gospel applications when appropriate and this aspect will be appreciated too.
